This year’s forge exhibition in the kunstraum pro arte is dedicated to the Media Art Award of the Province of Salzburg. Based on the different projects of the laureates of recent years, we address the question of what media art actually is and what significance it has in contemporary art production. The works impressively show us how different means of expression can be extended and linked in all directions and on all media. In addition to the traditional art system, they also touch on science and research and confirm that media art is by no means a unified field.
