From 7 years the NGO "Self-fish" is operating in Lithuania and in an international field. During that time many different projects, associated with education, human rights and arts were implemented. One of annual projects is media arts and music festival "Centras". Self-fish events are about international multimedia arts and music, they presents a contextual background and artistic practices of the international contemporary art from Lithuania and all over Europe, related to the newest media and technologies. Being of indisputable significance to young creators, professional artists and media amateurs from the start with the first multimedia art festival in Lithuania CENTRAS, Self-fish events focuses on collaboration among science, culture and art. The aims of Self-fish events are to encourage creating laboratories, to bring together artists, scientists and professionals from different sectors into creative clusters, and to promote creative industries, as well as multimedia culture and creative work. CENTRAS festival strives to become one of the most significant multimedia art festivals in the Baltic region, attracting to Lithuania globally famous multimedia art creators and stimulating creative activities and intellectual multimedia consumption in Lithuanian society. Self-fish team makes great efforts to establish relationship and to ensure successful cooperation with the greatest European digital art festivals, universities, as well as to present various experiences of media artists from different countries.
