LIGHT ART WANTED - APPLICATION PHASE FOR THE ESSEN LIGHT FESTIVAL STARTED!
For the Essen Light Festival 2024, Essen Light is looking for artists or artist collectives who would like to exhibit their light artworks, installations or video mappings. It doesn't matter whether the artworks are new or have already been exhibited.
For the first time, you can also apply for a special place on the route at the Essen Light Festival. Whether as a desired location for your own installation or the individual staging of an entire square or partial areas - there are no limits to creativity.
Essen Light is particularly interested in applications that fulfil the following criteria in full or in part:
Use of innovative, new technology
Interactivity with visitors
Integration into the cityscape or creation of a reference to the city of Essen or the surrounding area
The installation can be viewed by many visitors at the same time.
The installation serves as a photo motif and is "instagrammable"
Sustainability
These requirements must be met:
Clear connection and engagement with the topic of light
Permanently suitable for outdoor use
Stability even at high wind speeds
Simple operation and support during the festival period
