The collective "Touchy Toy," which originated in 2021, saw its inception from an initial triad composed of Gabriele Petrillo, Andrea Lupo, and Matteo Camerini, united by the same academic background in the field of Electronic Music Composition at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome. In early 2023, the collective was enriched by the addition of a fourth member, Christian D'Amico.

The quintessence of their work materializes through technological and aesthetic investigations, culminating in a wide range of pieces, spanning from sound installations to audiovisual performances and musical compositions.

The collective's aesthetic draws inspiration from a utopian vision of the digital and technological world, infused with references to contemporary pop culture and semantic short-circuits.

Their artistic corpus has found recognition in renowned contemporary art festivals such as Ladispolaneamente, and within the framework of the Colloquio di Informatica Musicale (CIM).

In the meantime with the creation of audiovisual compositions and sound installations, the collective performs A/V performances in emblematic venues such as Palazzo Brancaccio for the LCF, the Nuovo Cinema Aquila for the LPM (where they explore the potential of live coding as an artistic expression), and the evocative setting of Brancaleone.

Currently, the members of the collective are intensely dedicated to studio production, with the hope of completing the gestation of their debut album.
